Plant Clinics

Henrico County Master Gardeners will be available to provide answers to questions about lawns, landscapes and gardens at various locations throughout the county. Our 2025 Plant Clinics begin on Saturday, April 5, at Southern States and continue into the Fall. The complete schedule is summarized below.

  • Southern States (8718 W. Broad St.) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on April 5, 12, 19, 26
  • Nuckols Farm Elementary School (12351 Graham Meadows Dr.) – 9 a.m. to 12 noon on Saturday, April 12, for Earth Day celebration
  • Lakeside Farmers’ Market (6110 Lakeside Ave.) 9 a.m. to 12 noon on May 3, 10, 17, 24, 31
  • Lowes Brook Rd. (8001 Brook Rd.) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on June 7, 14, 21, 28.
  • Dorey Park (2999 Darbytown Rd.) 9 a.m. to 12 noon on Saturday, July 26, for World Conservation Day.
  • Dorey Park Farmer’s Market (2999 Darbytown Rd.) 9 a.m. to 12 noon on Sept. 6, 13, 20, 27.
  • Strange’s (12111 W. Broad St.) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sept. 6, 13, 20, 27.
  • West End Farmer’s Market (12450 Gayton Rd.) 9 a.m. to 12 noon on Oct. 4, 11, 18, 25.

‘Saturday in the Garden’ to celebrate pollinators on June 28

Henrico Master Gardeners will celebrate the start of summer with “Saturday in the Garden” at Short Pump Park Pollinator Garden on Saturday, June 28, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The event will celebrate pollinators and the delicious treats they provide. Master Gardeners will help children make shish kabobs of fruit. Games and crafts will be available for children, as well as an information table about pollinators. Short Pump Park is located at 3329 Pump Road, and the garden is just beyond the dog park, behind the pump house for the children’s spray area.
